"Kind, courteous staff. Only stayed here one night when arriving in Cartagena before heading to the islands. Wish we had come back here for the second part of our trip in Cartagena. Convenient location to lively nightlife, restaurants, etc yet no right on the corner and rooms are away from the street so they are *quiet* at night. "

The water went out for half a day in the whole city so that was a big factor on why it wasn’t excellent. Also, the area around the hotel is not that nice and there’s a lot of older buildings that seem dirty. The quality of the soaps and amenities could be improved. The hotel itself was very clean in the rooms and around the hotel. "

"My room was clean and the staff is extremely professional and very kind. The pool is rather small but the water was acceptable. Could have been better. I had a petite room. Queen size comfortable bed but no window. Air conditioning is very good. Yhorman is a great host. He is extremely knowledgeable of the area and about tourist activities to do. You’re in the heart of the nightlife and the Getsemani historical district. "

"Great location walking distance to everything but a bit away from the noise and bustle of the old city centre. Having the roof top pool was great. We had a problem with our AC. They came promptly to fix when they couldn’t that moved us to a new room. Karen the customer service rep apologized many times and sent a beautiful fruit basket to our new room. Can say enough about the GHL highly recommend and we would stay again. 10/10"
