"I stayed on the 9th floor and I had to work online and my phone was not connecting to the Internet. I went out to get something to eat. Upon my return, I tried with my laptop but with no success. I then called the front desk to explain the situation. She was saying something whilst I was still speaking. I stopped to inquire as to the nature of her interruption. She responded, "Finish your complaint so that I can explain to you what's happening."
I said, "Okay, what's happening?"
She replied, "Are you finished, Sir?"
I was baffled because I was not being rude to her at all.
She explained that for the last two nights, the Internet crashed and they are working on it. So only the lobby to the 2nd floor has service. So I can come down to the lobby to use the service.
I asked her why wasn't that explained when I checked in. I could have been given a room on the 2bd floor.
She said that my IHG gives my top floor access. Go figure.
No apology was offered.
I went downstairs and was placed in a room with many other guests using the room. No discount offered. Nothing.
The shower and toilet bowl were very slow in water disposal.
I was disappointed but left there without making a scene. Crowne Plaza SFO must be more courteous in situations like these as issues will happen from time to time I'm not being unreasonable."
"Hotel was clean and well cared for, air conditioning unit is size of a washing machine and sounds like an aircraft in the room with varying temperature through the night. Location is good if you want really touristy area. A long queue for checkin and breakfast like a school canteen. It’s okay but wouldn’t stay here again"
"For a property in the middle of the city in an older part of the city and right in the heart of Chinatown, this property is awesome. But it’s missing a lot of the amenities that Hilton’s are known for. The finishes are not as high end, the ac is not updated (found out they are just window boxes like found in cheap hotels that leak air), no room service, and smaller bathrooms. Being in the heart of a busy city and having the open air conditioner means you can hear the cars and people and planes flying by. It’s a very noisy hotel. It’s not all bad, it’s safe and secure and the staff are very friendly. The parking is safe and secure but $74 per night. Will I stay there again, probably not if I’m looking for a quite high end experience, but for quick access to city sure!"
