"Nice room, huge bathroom, comfortable bed. A little noisy since we were on the end unit near the street but didn't keep us awake. Only complaint is you got 4 Keurig cups for our entire 3 night stay. You had to buy others for $1 each. C'mon man!😁"

"The hotel is huge and has its own mini plaza with some restaurants, cafes and spa. It is away from the crowds of cannery row which meant there is lots of space to walk. It is 5 minutes walk from fisherman's wharf with some really good restaurants as well as others on the opposite side. We absolutely loved the place and would definitely go back."

"We loved our stay at The Monterey Hotel! The building has beautiful historic charm with modern comforts—clean, cozy rooms, comfortable beds, and a friendly, welcoming staff. The location is unbeatable—right in downtown Monterey, within walking distance to Fisherman’s Wharf, Cannery Row, and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We didn’t use our car once! Morning coffee and pastries were a nice touch, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. Highly recommend for couples or anyone looking to experience the heart of Monterey."

"Anniversary trip to California. One night in Carmel. Beautiful area and we felt very safe walking around the city at night. Very nice room with fireplace and a good breakfast. Limited parking but we were able to park close on the street. I would stay here again!"

The only thing that wasn’t quite as excellent as everything else on this property was the bed, but a little bit of a stiff back seemed a small price to pay. Will definitely stay here again."
