"Pros: Beautiful clean room. Lovely soft bedding and nice touches such as fresh cookies on arrival, ice and fresh coffee. Cons: The lift was out of service when we were there which was a pain when wanting to take a drink to the roof terrace and general coming and going. Some of the information in the guide book they provide is out of date. The sink and bath taps were loose. Would have preferred a hot breakfast included in the premium price we paid. You can park in the Britannia car park...

"Rooms recently renovated so looked great nice and clean rooms didn’t like the bars of soap and shower wash, liked that you actually got more than two milk strips each so you could have more than one cup of tea/coffee each. Restaurant food was ok but the tables etc needed a good clean/wipe. Staff are very friendly and the view is fabulous."

"Stayed for 2 nights for a family wedding. Lovely room overlooking the bay, could not fault it. Staff were very attentive, could not do enough for you. Breakfast was lovely. Food at the wedding was great. All in all, great 2 days. Would definitely stay again if in the area. Would definitely recommend."

"No where near the rate of a 3 star hotel. Firstly, the staff that brought us to the room didnt notice or notify the management of the faulty bulb at the corridor leading to our room. At the end, we have to notify them as the corridor/alley is too dark and not safe to walk as there were steps too. The room was not well lighted. Bathroom light was faulty, only depend on the mirror light. Only 2 small tubes of 30ml shower gel provided for a triple room and not been replaced with new the next day....

"Winterstoke is a HUGE house with 4 massive double bedrooms and a large twin room. This does not feel like a holiday rental, it feels like a home. I have never stayed in a property that is so well appointed, every detail is covered. The quality of the house is really fantastic and incredibly comfortable. The back garden is lovely with a great area for entertaining, unfortunately it was freezing so we could not make use of it. We had a baby with us and the owner (sheila) had EVERYTHING...
