"Very disappointed in the Bonvoy Group for what is clearly premature opening of a new hotel. The hotel is 3 weeks old as of month end 6/26. Still too many things don’t work. The property itself was dated, tired and in serious disrepair. The seal on the entry door to my ground floor room was mostly missing. There were holes in the walls. "I liked everything about my stay. The staff provided housekeeping every day and replaced the towels daily, which I really appreciated. The only thing I didn’t like was that there were ants in the bathroom when we first arrived."

"Parking and proximity to the Padres game is the best thing about this property. The smell was very off putting. Definitely needs a scent, it was an annoying Bleach plus Insect spray in the air. The internet password does not work. The Air condition needs conditioning. It’s a nice room if you just need to put your stuff in a room while you’re downtown and want to sleep for an hour or two. I could open the door from the bed… so it’s not the best. 3/10 for me"

"The hotel is beautiful, but it lacks some of the basic amenities that you would naturally expect from a place that charges you this much. For example, no coffee in the rooms (except packets of instant espresso they will deliver if you call), wash cloths, cleaning of your room during your stay unless specifically requested, water spills ALL over the floor from the shower due to the design, and the beds are truly terrible. "Everything was very dirty. There were a lot of fruit flies who knows from where they were coming out from. There was no hot water to shower. The towels had hairs in them."

On the other hand, I would like Expedia's reservation process to be more explicit regarding accommodation payments, as sometimes the charge is made directly and other times they collect at the hotel, as was the case here, which confuses the customer."
