"Stayed for one night, family of four. We were pleasantly surprised from the moment we stepped through the main door of the building. Were greeted with a big welcome in the cosy and beautiful lounge. House was very clean. Staff were wonderful, friendly and gone out of their way to serve us. They lived up to their standards of "from home to home" saying. Breakfast was plentiful and very tasty. "Historic hotel in a lovely market town. Very clean, reasonably priced, excellent breakfast. Dinner was tasty but perhaps the portion was a bit stingy. Miles is an excellent waiter and all round go-to person. Very personable. "

"We were a party of three adults staying two nights so that we had an easy journey over the weekend to get to the Steam Rally at nearby Woodchurch. Excellent base as views from the room were great, the balcony just right to sit and watch the sunset, and the beds were comfortable. The only negative comment being the restaurant tables, which had a very sticky feel to them. The waitresses wiped them down thoroughly but it seems this affected the surface of the tables! However the food was excellent...
