The “Welcome Pack” was a great and welcome surprise which is a definite plus compared to other rentals in this area. Master bedroom had a superb en suite plus a great view of Loughrigg Brow. "The property was immaculate. Every room was very clean and tidy. Very comfortable for 2 adults, not sure how 4 adults would feel as it might be a bit on the small side, especially if you are tall people as the ceilings are low. Parking might be a bit tricky. There is space outside for one car, although the road is narrow at that point. There seems to be space on the next road along though, or as the owner suggests in the nearby pay carpark. "The cottage is well equipped for self-catering for a family of 4. The beds are very comfortable and there is plenty of space in the living / dining areas. Quiet and with easy access to the heart of Ambleside, it is in a great location."

"High Ridge is perfectly situated right in the middle of Ambleside. However, it really does need some TLC. There are damp patches on the walls , the bed linen is rather questionable, & the window blinds are just simply dreadful . They let light in, don’t work properly & are very tatty indeed. The furnishings are of poor quality & there are just far too many dreadful pictures on the walls. The kitchen & bathroom are good but the rest of the property needs a jolly good face lift .
