We booked this hotel to be close to the Trevi Fountain and other famous attractions in Rome. The location is perfect. The hotel is quite old and it looks that way in many places, although clearly updates have been done. We stayed in the Annex building because we needed to sleep to three people. It was clean, but the air conditioning did not work. It just blew air and not fast enough to cool anything or anyone. We had to open the window to get any cool air. With no screens though, you do get flies coming in. The hotel was overall okay but in a perfect location. Our biggest problem was that we booked a ride through the hotel staff from the airport to the hotel. We waited for an hour, looking everywhere for a driver, but he never showed up. It took me several attempts to call the front desk and when I finally got through, I was told that our driver has car trouble and we would have to take a taxi. The line for a taxi was 45 minutes long and we had time sensitive tickets for St Peter's Basilica. We were not happy at all. That is not service at all. It is a lack of service.
