"The room was very clean with a mix of modern and traditional facilities. Nicely renovated bathroom. The staff in the pub were very friendly and the food was excellent. A great choice of local beers and the food was delicious. Love the large beer garden. "

"It is good value. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. It is clean. Snowy white bedding and big fluffy towels but although offered it was accepted that I preferred not to have unnecessary changes of towels and bedding. It’s great to have a good restaurant on site that also offers several vegetarian options. There is a lovely little garden and good parking. Be prepared to accept that there will be traffic noise as it’s positioned on a junction. "

"Room was just as advertised and had everything we needed - except hair conditioner. Easy and helpful check-in staff. Clean. The collection of buildings were absolutely stunningly cute and well-maintained, especially for the age, and nice explorable grounds. Not much open in the area or walkable past evening time. Quick cab ride to Stanstead. Beds a bit on the short size, rooms could use fans in the summer. Opening the windows was an option but we were on the road side which was surprisingly...

"I stayed at the Woolpack for a long weekend and couldn’t have asked for a better or ore friendly place to stay! The rooms was immaculate and had everything you could want or need, the breakfast hamper is such a nice touch and already included in the price. The staff all made me feel so welcome, a good funny bunch that went above and beyond. The atmosphere was even better with the live band in the bar Saturday night, having a good dance to some real music. Would 100% stay again! "
