"If you're looking for a country style escape in the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley, I would highly recommend Hotel Ynez. This single story hotel is laid out in a horseshoe shape. The tastefully appointed guest units are on the outer sides of the "shoe", the reception area, lounge, breakfast area, gift shop, pool & spa areas are in the center of the shoe. The shoe surrounds a nicely landscaped area where you can relax below a gigantic oak in cushioned wood chairs by two gas fire pits, a bocce court and a grass area. My room was large, with a sink-into-comfort King bed. There's a large flat screen on the opposite wall, a writing table, and squeaky-clean and well-appointed bathroom. My room also features a small kitchenette with a beverage stocked vintage style fridge, and a well-stocked bar with top shelf liquor and bubbly, interesting hard cover bar craft books and a Nespresso machine. Dimmable lighting is featured inside and outside. The outside front patio has a round top country table and a hand-knit hammock should you want to doze off in the fresh Santa Ynez Valley air. The hotel is located conveniently in the heart of the Valley. A car or bicycle ride to the sights and tastes of Solvang, Santa Ynez, Ballard and Los Olivos are just minutes away. I stayed on Monday and Tuesday nights and predictably things were extra tranquil and relaxing at the Hotel Ynez and in the Santa Ynez Valley. "

"The staff, the ambient and overall experience was wonderful. Every staff we encounter were friendly and helpful. It is family friendly establishment but adult can still enjoy all the amenities without being run down by kids. "
