"Location was great. Quiet street. Breakfast and Happy Hour was wonderful. Friendly staff. Location of our room was not great. Right outside the food bar and bottom of the steps. At night the guests returning were loud and obnoxious and woke us from our sleep. The guests across the hall locked themselves out of their room and were yelling and cussing at each other. There is no one on staff present overnight. Only a phone number for after -hours issues. "

"We had never visited the area prior to this visit. Really didn't know what to expect. Boy were we pleasantly surprised! Arrived way too early to check in. We were able to stash our luggage at the desk so we could start our vacation. Staff suggested a great lunch place and offered to text us as soon as our room was ready. The location was AWESOME! Walking distance to everything we wanted to do and see. Definitely have brunch at Blue Heaven, lunch or drinks at Ramshead, Cuban food at El Siboney is...

"The room was kept clean. Definitely an older hotel, which is a part of the charm. The grounds were truly beautiful and well kept. We very much enjoyed our stay. The only drawback is an outdated bathroom. If you don’t mind that, then this is highly recommended stay!"

"The Douglas House is really several houses, divided into comfy units, with a central area for the pool. There is a Koi pond and other seating among the lush foliage. Each unit also has its personal outdoor space and ours had three different places to sit. One of our loungers was broken and they immediately replaced it. "Breakfast was sausage and pancakes as main dishes every day. (Four days) Great location....a mile from Mallory square. 1. Less than a mile to Malory Square. 2. Two pools. 3. Street level room; 106. 4. Only parking spaces for four vehicles. 5. Aircraft take off and fly right over Ambrosia Hotel. 6. Breakfast was cool pancakes and sausage daily. We were there four days. Ate out forth day. 7. TV and internet extremely slow. Screen “freezes” every minute or two. Impossible to conduct business...

"A little piece of paradise, steps away from bustling activities in Duval street. Rooms were spacious and clean. Continental breakfast served on outdoor deck amongst beautiful shrubbery. Checkin and out very easy process. I look forward to returning again. 💯 rating"

"Very nice room with private bath, A/C, ceiling fan, and a private balcony. Pool area was quiet and secluded. Only 14 rooms so never felt crowded. Location is perfect—centrally located and we walked everywhere ,Just one block from Duval street , Could always come back, relax by the pool, then head back out. Great stay overall. Easy 5 stars"

"The private pool is not private. It is near the walkways so everyone walking by can see into the pool/your room. The bar on the roof deck is small and the seats are not comfortable. The staff was awful, unfriendly, rude, and acted as we were bothering them. From the moment we arrived it was really disappointing."

We were on the top floor ( no elevator so don`t pack much!), the lower level rooms were likely quite noisy . The AC did work and our room was cleaned well. The overall upkeep of the building is not great, amenities are very limited ( as expedia VIP should get 25% off food and drinks, but there were only few bottle of sodas/ water available, no food).
