"We loved staying at the Lamaro while we were in Barcelona. The location was excellent because the Gothic Quarter has lots to see, but it was also only a 15-30 minute walk to a lot of other sites, including the beach, many of Gaudi’s houses, and the Sagrada Família. I also ordered their birthday chocolate mousse cake for my spouse’s birthday, and it was insanely delicious. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Barcelona."

All common spaces, including the lobby the bar, spa and pool areas, are maintained very well, retaining architectural features that make the building look beautiful. The staff was very helpful, and the building was always kept clean. It's location on La Rambla was very convenient and close to Mass transportation."

"Property was in a great location, less than 10 minutes from 2 metro lines. They offered a buffet, but due to dietary restrictions (allergies), we could not eat it. It wasn't a big deal as there are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance. We were able to drop our luggage in a convenient and free locker room in the basement when we arrived. Other amenities: - rooftop pool & solarium with a great view of the city - workout room - vending machines for water, snacks, and light sandwiches (Carrefour is also on the corner if you want another option) - microwave in the public area - multiple elevators One thing to note, the main doors are always locked. You will have to use the intercom to get in until you have your room key. This is a nice feature, as the area is busy. Restaurants worth a try in walking distance: - Fat Cat - La Monroe We also bought unique handmade souvenirs at the weekend Artisan market by the metro."

"We were so pleased with this classy, boutique hotel (just 24 rooms). Great location across the street from the port and Maritime Museum. But such quiet, beautiful rooms. Due to our late train arrival from Madrid, we didn’t arrive at the hotel until 12:30am but we were warmly welcomed and personally shown to our room. Impressive! The room was exactly as shown on the website. Beautifully appointed, great bed and pillows, and a fabulous bathroom & shower! Breakfast was wonderful! And all the staff were terrific! The rooftop patio and small pool area was the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sun set! Rasa, the Indian restaurant next door to the hotel was fabulous, too! Overall, our stay at Hotel La Pau was 5 Stars!"
