"Very disappointing stay and definitely not worth the price. The room was not clean and had several issues that made it feel poorly maintained. There was visible water damage on the ceiling, the couch was stained, and the outlet next to the bed did not work.
The check-in experience was also bizarre. There was no one readily available at the front desk, so I had to use a phone to call the desk and wait for someone to come assist me. I’ve never experienced a hotel check-in process like that, and...

"The Pell is located in Middletown away from the noise, traffic and crowds of Newport.
It is part of JVD, a Hyatt property. The facility is emaculately clean. The front desk was helpful, knowledgable and very accomidating. We originally did not know the facility did not have an elevator. So I called in advance and asked for a room change. They gave us a ground floor room. "They bed was comfortable. The pictures of the rooms were kinda misleading,and the free coffee was terrible. Clean room very small bathroom the shower leaked a little but overall it was ok and it was a quiet stay."
