"I had to contact the front desk twice for the heat not working. They had to send a maintenance person to the room twice. It still continued to not work through the night, the room was very cold. I woke up with a runny nose and coughing."

"Overall the hotel was nice, good location and friendly staff. We had three rooms and two of the three had issues with the AC not working. The staff eventually moved us to new rooms that were better. "

"We left right after checking in and paid for one night rather than actually staying there. The room door barely closed, the elevator was patched with duct tape, the hallway was dark and dirty, the towels looked like old rags, the attendent at checkin said we should park on the far side of the parking lot so we could see our car from the room, (like I should also be worried about my car!). We felt so umcomfortable, we just left and for a small amout more stayed in a hotel that was 1000% better. Fortunately the representative at Hotels.com was able to help us and even gave us some of the money back that we lost for the last minute cancellation. It is listed at about a 7, it should be as 1"

"Carpets throughout were stained, sheers in room were torn and room very tired. Clean but in need up updating. Disappointing overall for the price of the room. Hotel is close to Duke and we did find a great place to eat. Try Local 22 Kitchen & Bar. Very good restaurant, reasonably priced nice atmosphere. Would have chosen a different hotel if condition was known ahead of time. "

"The Duke room, property and outdoor garden absolutely beautiful! Atmosphere is very relaxing with beautiful music all around. Breakfast elegantly served and very delicious! Overall 5 star experience!"
