Good value. Room had all necessary amenities and the staff was very helpful. I drove to hotel to drop off luggage which was a bit challenging, and then parked in offsite recommended facility for 15 euro per night which is about a 10 minute walk from hotel.

we were not sure about going to Padua on our 8 week holiday in Italy but are so glad we did. it is such a beautiful city and we had an amazing time. regarding Albergo Verdi - i could easily recommend this hotel for its perfect location, breakfast was ample for us, well priced and super helpful staff (a big shout out to Lorenzo). yes, it can get a little noisy on friday/saturday nights due to the 2 bars right downstairs but this did not bother us as we were down there having a drink as well anyway. perfect hotel in a wonderful city.

Too Much NOISE. Rooms overlooking the street had to deal with 2 bars and one restaurant with 30 yards of the front door. Both bars serviced outdoor cafe's serving at least 120 people. You must request a room not overlooking the front or you will get no sleep. Staff was great.

Lovely boutique hotel
Lovely 14-room boutique hotel next to the university and two minutes away from the main town squares. A student bar and a cafe on one side, a restaurant on the other. Nice and varied cold breakfast buffet. Rick Steves' Italy 2019 Guide recommendation is right!

A centrally located hotel
We were given a small room at the front of the hotel but the manageress changed us to a bigger, quieter room when we requested one the next day and we were happy there for the rest of our 4 night stay. The breakfast is good except that they use prepacked and processed cheese and ham instead of one of the many excellent local fresh varieties. The hotel is one of the most convenient in Padua for a tourist seeking to get to know the historic centre. It is adjacent to one of the University buildings and next to a cafe much favoured by the students. Unfortunately it has late night music and the bass on the music system makes it particularly hard to get to sleep. While this is not a criticism of the Hotel, potential clients should be aware of this local nuisance. The staff were all very helpful and most spoke excellent English. The Hotel represents good value for money.

Wonderful hotel in the best location in Padua
My husband and I stayed here for two nights and had an excellent experience. The room was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location -- on a quiet piazza just steps from the larger squares in the Centro Storico -- was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

Perfect hotel in the ideal location
This was my second stay here - because I found the first time so great. Rooms are no-frills, but absolutely adequate. The entire hotel is very clean, and rooms serve their purpose well. (They don't all seem identical. So, whereas this room was not especially roomy, my last one was). Desk & breakfast staff, as well as house-keeping staff, are supremely friendly, and helpful. I happen to love the street view - but, it overlooks the entry to a small piazza where the University students hang out at night. The sound doesn't bother me (and I know that it's there). If social noise up until midnight or so will bother you, you might make a request to be on the other side of the hotel. Breakfast, which is included, is very good, it's fresh, and has a wide variety of items to answer every breakfast desire. The location is terrific - we found that we can walk anywhere comfortably for sightseeing from this hotel.

Small hotel 10 mins walk to town centre
Was a little hard to find initially being tucked down a small back street under arches. But once figured out it's very close to town centre piazza del Erbe, Capella scrovegni. Room was clean and comfortable with a small but nice breakfast room with buffet. Reception staff were not that helpful, making me wait about 20 mins whilst they gave a lot of directions to an Italian school party. But overall a good comfortable basic option. About 25 mins walk to the station so may want to take a taxi.

Nice hotel located in the old part of town
Really enjoyed the location, atmospheric and being in close proximity to local bars and restaurants. Comfortable walk to the Scrovigni Chapel and to shops and a supermarket. Only issue was my wife getting bitten by a mosquito whilst sleeping with the window open. The staff were aware that mosquitoes are about and we should have been advised to sleep with the window closed. Anti-mosquito devices were provided after the event.

Handy but issues
The location of this hotel was very convenient to the sites in the historical center. The hotel is very compact. There is no real lobby, the breakfast room is small, and the room was rather spartan, but very clean. The breakfast was very adequate with fresh fruit, cereal, pastries, hardboiled eggs, and bread with meats and cheese. The breakfast room had snacks, cookies and drinks available 24/7. The staff was helpful in making dinner reservations and the like. That said, we thought it was not up to our other three star hotels. We also had a frightening experience. Access to our room was through an outdoor enclosure used by smokers that was adjacent to the breakfast area. One evening when we left our room to go out to dinner we found ourselves locked in the outdoor area with no way to exit the hotel. In somewhat of a panic (we were glad the hotel was not on fire) and after five minutes of yelling for help and banging on the sliding glass door a woman staying in an upper room came to our rescue and opened the door for us. She was soon followed by the desk clerk from downstairs who was full of apologies. Upon our return from dinner we found a bottle of wine in our room. The room lacked some amenities. There was only a mirror and waste basket in the bathroom. No ice was available at the hotel. The hotel got us a quote of 85 euros for a taxi to the Venice airport, but when we got to the airport the driver pointed to the 85 euros on the meter but said we also had to pay for th

Brilliant location
We had a great 2 night stay in Padua. The Reception staff were wonderful - they were helpful and friendly, and at our request, even booked a restaurant for us for our first night. They also gave us directions on how to get to various places. The bedroom was spacious and comfortable and we had no trouble with noise. One thing that could be improved is the breakfast where the few savory items e.g. cheese and ham were processed and somewhat bland. However on the plus side, it stopped us over-eating! The location of the hotel was excellent - close to everything we wanted to see. We would definitely recommend it, and would happily stay there again if we were to return to Padua.

Could be a fine, inexpensive hotel in Padua.
Small, clean rooms with good hotel staff; however, the air control in the room did not work and the wifi system is terrible. Only one device can connect at a time and the connection is weak. Could not stream any video. If you close your device, you lose the connection and must start over.

Contemporary comfort
The hotel was really comfortable, and the air conditioning excellent for this very hot stay (temp 38c) The breakfast was plentiful and the service and helpfulness of the staff much appreciated. The hotel is perfectly placed in the old part of Padua, everything is accessible by foot. Next door is a lively bar, but it was quiet by 11pm. We caught a taxi to the hotel from the station and paid 7Euros. However in cooler temperatures, would be a comfortable walk. We will definitely be staying at this hotel again.

Enjoyable stay
This is a very good, inexpensive place to stay in Padova. Of particular note are the staff who were all incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms are also very clean and probably the best I have come across for a 3-star in Italy. I got good advice about places to eat which weren't Americanized versions of Italian food but real authentic native cooking. Location is good too as they are 3 blocks from the very center but it is still quiet. Breakfast was basic but good quality. Also, they do have a long-term apartment through another org (contact them directly). Only one downside was the internet which requires you to log-in every 10 mins or so which is frustrating, but they say they're trying to fix this.

Comfortable, good location, worth a look...
Definitely worth considering. Hotel was conveniently located. Room, although small, was well furnished and functional. Had a street-facing room, and it was not very well sound isolated, even with the windows closed. Bar next door could be heard well into the early morning. Good breakfast. No parking at the hotel, but paid lot is reasonably convenient to the hotel. Christmas markets in full swing nearby. Hotel quite reasonably priced.

Great location
We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a young man who spoke good English. He carried our case up the stairs to our bedroom which unfortunately was on the street. We asked him for a room at the back and he found us one which was really super: large, quiet, on the first floor. He changed the safe for us, as the one in the room did not work, and gave us a map of the historic centre of Padua.

Great location
A cute boutique hotel centrally located, within walking distance to the main Squares. There is a bar right next door which could create some noise at night, not serious though. Public carpark close by, we were asked to just drop our key and car to the carpark staff without any receipt which got me worried, but it was all fine at the end.

Great time at Albergo Verdi
Great location, and very friendly and helpful staff. I was able to reach most touristic sites by walking in less than 20 min. Restaurants and bars are conveniently located within a 2 min walk. It was also close to a running trail going along the river and around Padova. Breakfast was good with lots of pastry options, great coffee, and fresh fruit. The only downside was that it was slightly loud at night due to a bar/restaurant located nearby.

Good and Bad
The hotel is in a great location and the staff are excellent in trying to help with information etc. The breakfasts are also good and because it's a small hotel, there is not a huge number of people bumping you around in the morning. Alas, however, the room is tiny (claustrophobic) with no room to place your luggage, the TV does not have any English news channels - the noise from the street (there is a bar/restaurant just below the hotel's windows) goes on at least until midnight (very loud university students), and the bed is not comfortable. Would not recommend.

BEAUTY SPOT:
You couldn't find a better location. Brilliant — as is the staff and the overall ambiance of this friendly inn. It's all fresh and shiny and welcoming. Minor caveat: The rooms are tiny. Major caveat: Street facing rooms are fabulously noisy at night. Possibly the nosiest block in town because of a very popular student bar a few storefronts away. The hotel is on the edge of Piazza Capitaniato, a student hang out. It's either cool or crazy-making. We loved it — and the kids do eventually go to bed. The a.m. markets are right there, just one square away in Piazza dei Signori, Piazza della Frutta and Piazza Erbe. The amazing Palazzo della Ragione, with its upside down boat hull roof, is even more amazing inside. Pop into the elegant Caffe Pedrocchi for a taste of revolution 19th-century style. (Yes, you can afford a coffee at the bar.) Don't miss the Cattedrale Battistero just a block south of the hotel. In impact, its Manabuoi frescoes rival the wondrous Cappella degli Scrovegni. And there's no hype, no lineup and no pre-booking. The beautiful Basilica Antoniano is more than worth the tram-ride to Santo stop. Get a Padova Pass for a mere 16 euros at the TI in the train station. It'll let you ride the transit at will, get you into the Scrovegni chapel (and the TI office will book your time for you) as well as most other sites mentioned here. Loved the tram — but do take the No. 10 bus from the train to Hotel Verdi. Get off at Theatre Verdi and walk south two blocks. Easy.

Once we realized where we were the location was great.Very easy to get anywhere in Padua. The staff was excellent and helpful and the breakfast was European adequate. The rooms are small and most face the street with a noisy kid's bar next door but by 11 they were all gone, so not an issue. The internet works but is spotty. All in all we would stay here again because of location and service.

Great hotel but can be noisy
This is a neat, clean and pleasant hotel which is a short walk from the main sights. Staff were helpful and breakfast is good. The only downside is a bar popular with students nearby which was a bit noisy in the evening. Didn't overly bother me but If you are easily disturbed and like an early night it could be a problem.

Generally had an excellent stay. Staff were very helpful as was difficult to find place in restricted area and sat nav left us in wrong location. Beds could have been a little more comfy and breakfast room a little small but the staff were excellent and we had no problems. Bathroom and shower were graet and regular supply of excellent comfortable towels. Breakfasts were good and again staff helped to ensure we could have tea with own teabags.
