Room - ad pictures looked bigger. Room was basic. Big safety concern is that the room's door lock is all digital both in coming in and going out. Coming in is ok but going out should be a breeze and not have to digitally unlock it specially in an emergency. Location - close to Dotonbori, around 3 train stops. Need to walk 10 to 15 mins to the train station. For some this should be fine but if you will do a lot of walking daily, the walk back would be an added effort. Staff - none, self check-in. Easy. Price - ok

This property served our family well for a 5 day stay in Osaka. The neighbourhood is slightly sketchy by Japanese standards but safe by any other country's. There are some excellent restaurants nearby, particularly Hana Izakaya and Shinsekai is just a 10 minute walk for excellent kushikatsu, ramen and takoyaki. Tamade Supermarket was very handy. The room was clean and spacious enough for 5 of us to move around comfortably. Plenty of transport options nearby to get to Dotonburi and Universal easily.

Review of Eslead Hotel Namba Ebisu West

My stay at Eslead Hotel Namba Ebisu West was truly exceptional. The rooms were spotlessly clean, well-designed, and comfortably spacious for Osaka standards. I especially appreciated the thoughtful amenities — everything from the in-room washer/dryer to the extra towels and toiletries was just right. The self check-in/out process was seamless and hassle-free, which made arriving late much less stressful. The location was very convenient: a short walk to train/subway stations so getting around the city was easy, yet the area remained peaceful and safe. It’s also great value — the price felt fair for what was offered, especially considering the comfort, cleanliness, and quiet atmosphere. If I return to Osaka, I’ll definitely stay here again.

This hotel has superb cleanliness. The room is amazingly clean, smells so good and very comfortable mattresses, and pillows. Towels so clean, all clean actually..👌 Few minutes walk to train station. Very peaceful and safe. It was a 8th day amazing staycation in Eslead Hotel.. Arigato gozaimuso!!

At first impression was not good that we arrived in the dark and the neighborhood looked really sketchy. We also couldn’t check in due to my email wouldn’t open to see the passcodes. If the employee didn’t show up that specific time, we would never had got into the room due to my email could not open. After very stressful beginning, everything went well and the area was convenient due to closeness to the train station and many attractions near by. We stayed for 6 nights and washing machine was excellent accommodation since the weather was hot and humid, we had to laundered everyday. Overall, I enjoyed the stay and would consider coming back if I ever return to Osaka.

We enjoyed this creative, innovative, non-tourist spot in Osaka! The creative and innovative part refers to the washer and dryer in the room. The dryer isnt as strong nor does it work sometimes so the hotel provided hangers, extra shower rod and clips to air dry inside the bath/shower room. Very helpful to dry while you are out exploring for an 8hr day. The check in/out process was also smooth with no issues. Extra towels and amenities were provided from the start of our 3day stay. Thank you Eslead!

Not a great place to stay

Osaka is a fun and wonderful place to visit. However, this hotel is not. Let's start with the pros. Pros: You are within walking distance of train and subway stations and 20-30 minutes from the most popular locations. The neighborhood is quiet, but you can hear the trains from your room throughout most of the night. Even from the top floor. Cons: There are no staff, and everything is automated. You use a code for everything, even to enter your room. This system causes some frustration when it doesn't work, either when you want to enter or exit your room. Yes, the system also requires you to use it to exit your room. Even by Japanese standards, the bed is as hard as a rock and small. If you are a western family of 4+, you will not be comfortable here. There is also a funky smell in the room, like stale urine. You could walk about 40 minutes to Dotonbori or take the train one stop to Namba and walk another 15 minutes to get there. It's not really close, but not very far either. But nothing else is close by, including food and drink, so keep this in mind when book. Overall, would not stay here again and would book something closer to more dining options.

Checking in/out was smooth, I haven’t tried a self service option before and it was great. The room was clean and spacious - what the photos showed us. I love the take as you need for toiletries, and the umbrella stand use. We also love how there was many train stations near by. I would recommend this to my family, and friends. It was a fantastic stay!

It was comfortable to stay, little further walking distance from train station but still good access. Older appearing neighborhood but still felt safe and quiet area. Rooms are more simple and basic. The hotel staff was nice to accept our luggage delivery service and take our luggage to our room even though they don't have a front desk. Good stay for families

Nice hotel

We stayed for 4 nights. This place was very clean , very comfortable beds , nice views of the city from the balcony. We stayed in the 14th floor family of 5. Close to the station. The only thing no restaurants or stores around it. You can still hear the trains at night. And we saw a lot of garbage on the streets close to the building.
