"Another lovely stay! I had requested 3 or 8 as I stay here often. No one got back to me and on arrival I was booked in 21. The guy on reception quickly changed it for me. Helpful as always. 👍"

"Sadly this property needs huge investment. The whole place is really tired. There was no on there to welcome us and they hadn’t sent us the door code so I had to phone twice before someone would pick up and then had to wait for the owner to arrive to let us in, not ideal after a long journey. We had a garden room - which had thread bare carpets with stains on, the most uncomfortable bed imaginable and it just felt dirty. I thought from the pictures this place looked ok, but I was very wrong...

"The castle was a true castle and maintained well. The staff is every area we’re kind and friendly. This is a very nice place to enjoy adult only accommodations and my wife and I would stay here again if ever in the area. Food was also top quality and served as if you were at a 5 star restaurant. "Unfortunately a previous guest must have been smoking in our room and so the room was not comfortable to sleep on. It was more of an overnight stay place than a longer holiday choice as the room was fairly small."

"We had a good stay at the Sloop Inn. Lovely friendly staff. The best breakfast. The property is a little dated, and the bed isn't the most comfortable, but it was all good for a one-night stay. Would recommend."

"Convenient location off the motorway. Plenty of parking. Friendly check-in. Room was spacious, clean with large bed and well fitted bathroom with a decent shower. Good facilities in the room such as hair straightener and hair dryer but no kettle. Hot/ cold water is available at a tap in the corridor so be prepared to take your teapot to get water for a brew. Food is served at the adjoining 'diner' which was always busy. Not great options for vegetarians (a plant burger) but breakfast went did...

"Room smelt damp, bed not very comfortable. Breakfast was nice though and breakfast ladies were lovely"

"The only observation is that in room 18 there were no usb charging points. There were a number of 13A sockets however these were all on the same wall as the desk and none near the head of the bed. I think this an odd missing feature. Room was clean and shower excellent. Breakfast offering in Black Pig was very pleasant as were the staff."
