"Free breakfast was not offered. We were told its only available Saturday and Sunday. Staff were rude and short with us when we had questions. The whole place smelled like smoke even though we paid for a smoke free room."

"The room was clean and nice. Breakfast was lacking. The hot tub was cold. I let staff know and they didn’t do anything about it. I called down a few hours later and a different staff person had it taken care of in 10 minutes. Too late by then to use it. "

"The hotel is in need of updating and a good deep clean. The carpeting was dirty – I understand that it is the end of the winter season, but it was still pretty dirty. The rooms were fairly clean. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding clean. The lighting in the bathroom was very dim and not suitable for putting on make-up. "We’ve been staying at Grant Hills for years. The rooms aren’t fancy, though are very clean and comfortable. We like the option to bring our pups with if we choose. The cost of a two night stay is many times less than one night in other Galena hotels. It’s always very quiet and there is a walking path not far away. "
