"Great stay, one of my favorite hotels I’ve stayed at! Everyone was sweet. It has a nice quiet cozy vibe despite location being near all the action in the quarter. Absolutely loved the room layout and design with a high ceiling and window with curtains. Also had a decently large tv with cable that had plenty of channels for when I was relaxing in the room. "I am not really sure why the reviews here so poorly match the state of the hotel. It’s run down and a more than a bit grubby. The staff are lovely and helpful and do their best to take care of you but it doesn’t really make up for the fact that the hotel needs some serious upkeep. "

"French Market Inn is a great hotel, perfectly located — close to everything, yet far enough from the loudness of Bourbon Street to enjoy some peace and quiet. "Ms. Christine was fantastic. We received a free upgrade to a room with a king size bed, which was adjacent to the common-share kitchen. The room itself was clean and classy. The open air courtyard was spectacular as we enjoyed the sounds of the quarter without the hustle of the crowds. However, we were quieted by the bumping sounds in the night as if some ghost was trying to escape. Great stay and highly recommended."

"Just stayed 5 nights and had a very enjoyable experience. Staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast is generous and in a lovely lobby with a bar, and the rooms are updated and cozy (although our shower was due for a good clean/recaulking). The hotel is ideal for exploring the French Quarter and Treme neighbourhoods. Parking is tight, large vehicles may have a hard time. Overall, a great stay."
