"The hotel is located nicely in the French Quarter and has a charming courtyard. There are many restaurants and bars within walking distance. Unfortunately the condition of our room had us spending as much time as possible in the open-air courtyard. Dusty/dirty floors, dirty/smudgy door, well-worn furnishings. The air filter for the A/C in our room was caked with dirt and dust. As a result, the air quality in the room was poor, leaving the smell from the partially-cleaned bathroom lingering. The shower had a slow drain, and the sink drain was even slower, eventually not draining at all. In the middle of our stay, the fire alarm went off in the middle of the night. There was no explanation from staff as to what happened or why, which was surprising. I have pics, but they probably will not be well received."
