"We loved that the hotel was on the edge of Siena, but just inside the city wall, so that we could drive right up to the hotel and park but then walk easily anywhere in the city. The hotel itself was lovely, with fantastic staff and excellent breakfast. Our room was clean, very comfortable, with nice decor. We would definitely return to the Hotel Athena - perfect for us in Siena."
Grand Hotel Continental Siena – Starhotels Collezione
10/10 Excellent
"This is a 5+ star facility. Our room was outrageous with frescos and paintings on the walls and ceiling. The staff went out of their way to help us with our requests and provide a history of the property. Our room had 1.5 bathrooms and the breakfast had an excellent choice of items. "
"Quaint older hotel with large room with a great view. Excellent breakfast. Had a nice outdoor courtyard to sit and read or have a coffee or cocktail. Nice staff."
"This hotel is in a great location in Siena as you can almost drive to the door (you do need to park away from the hotel) to drop off luggage and you are on the edge of the old town of Siena and its square. We had a balcony with a great view of the old town and breakfast and service from the front desk were great!"
