The hotel is situated very close to Munich's central station (Hauptbahnhof), underground system (U bahn), tram and bus stops. Central location for most tourist hotspots. (Marienplatz is a 15 minute walk or two short underground stops away).
Impressive Reception and public areas. Restaurant and bar are okay, buffet style breakfast is good. There is a Spa and swimming pool. However, the room allocated (738) had stained carpeting, no electrical or USB sockets by one side of the bed and a lighting system that was baffling to use. There was a bath and a walk in shower which was powerful and hot.
Housekeeping was hit and miss, the bed was made and the room tidied but water, milk, tea, chocolate, toilet roll etc., weren't always replaced and had to be requested. Staff were polite and any problems quickly dealt with.
We were woken up in the early hours of one morning by in house drilling and hammering noise which was recorded. We made a complaint at the time and followed it up at Reception later that morning. We were informed that the Manager had authorised the work and we're offered a complimentary dinner for two. As the booking had been made through Expedia we were advised that a formal complaint should be addressed to them which we intend to pursue.
