"I'd always wanted to stay as I'd passed the hotel many times. First, parking -you have to pay. Underground is £25, overground £13.50. Not good. Receptionist helpfully told me to move car from underground to save money. Went to get light lunch on cafe/bar in foyer. Lots of staff milling about but took some time to be served and then wrong sandwich arrived. Also would have expected a decent sized tea pot instead of one that help one and a bit cups. "Staff were brilliant, rooms have been let go from a maintenance point of view. Food was tasty but very over priced, especially the breakfast. Would have made a complaint if I’d had to pay £18 for that had it not been included with the nights stay. Drinks reasonably priced though."

"The hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings and we were lucky to be given a stone cottage apartment with outside decking overlooking the pond and grounds. Beautiful! The staff were all very pleasant but overstretched and and quite stressed at times. Breakfast was good but didn't run smoothly.
