Highgate Independent Mount Vernon hotels

"Great location. Love the vibe of the lobby and common areas. Clean and nice, upscale rooms. Had to wait 30 minutes to check-in because there was only one person at the front, then 3 people came to assist the line. Bed was not super comfortable, but great pillows. I was on the 20th floor and appreciated that the front desk let me know in advance that the bed was in a corner. Bathroom is very nice, as well! "

"I couldn’t say enough nice things about the staff. Everyone was super nice. The front desk, the cleaning ladies and the bell hop service. Super genuinely nice people. However, the hotel is a bit dated. Whoever did their staging pictures for social media did a good job….upon arrival, the elevators didn’t work…this happened off & on throughout our stay. We were staying on the 14th floor….night 2 & 3 our air didn’t work at all. Woke up to take a shower on day 2 and there was no water… if you’re renting a car beware of the charges for parking. It’s $65 a night for cars and $107 a night for a truck. They did offer to take off the vacility fee for all these troubles, (I think it was $130) which was nice. Would I stay here again? No. "
