I am a tolerant person and I love vintage motels, but really! To start with, the bathroom floors and grout were spotty and stained, and the TV was impossible to focus. The water in the shower never got hotter than lukewarm. Room 125 started out smelling a bit of tobacco, and the paper cups from the bathroom ruined our beverages because the cups tasted like flooded basement. Also, a person with mental illness spent 5 minutes yelling outside. (We didn't call the cops because we were concerned that they might shoot him.) After two rainy days, the room stunk like wet ashtray, so I asked to be moved. They sent me to Room 212, which didn't stink, and the bathroom was less icky. That shower was also lukewarm, but it was raining outside and I didn't want to move again, so I said the heck with it, and went to lock the door. I discovered that the chain lock was hanging on a broken link, and there were signs of a forced entrance on the deadbolt. I checked out a night early, glad I didn't prepay. They offered no apologies. (Oh, and a person in a room close by died the second night I was there, but that wasn't their fault.) Steer clear of the Chalet Motel. It is just awful.

The property is a bit dated but clean and safe and relatively comfortable. It’s a sleepy area in a sleepy town (I grew up there) but does the job for a short stay. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Nice Place
Was very happy with the cleanliness of my room , bed was comfortable with lots of pillows. The restaurant and bar had very good food , the whole staff was friendly smiling and ready to help out at anytime. The service was outstanding. I will stay again when I’m in the area

Clean, Clean, clean. Hot water radiant heat was a real plus. Bed could have been farther away from the door. Would highly recommend! We usually don't stay at motels, but this one was a good surprise.

Hidden gem!
Very comfortable and clean…probably one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in! It’s an older motel, but nice to park right in front of your door. The hair dryer did not work, but that was my only complaint.

Gr8 deal. If in area and needed a place i would stay
Great location and great price. Bathroom was outdated but charming. Bed was very comfortable and the host very gracious.Resturant was also very good.

It is refreshing to stay at an older Motel. Better price just as nice as a big fancy lodging place. We dont come from the best of the best, so why not save the little guy and support them. They have a cute Bar and food. we were just fine.

Decline over the past years
We have stayed many times and this time was a decline. There is no temperature control in the room the AC was locked for the season and the thermostat on the wall was ineffective and the nights sleep was uncomfortably warm. Other than that the room was quiet and comfortable with easy parking.

The check-in was awesome, I got here an hour early since my shift started at 3pm, when check-in is supposed to be, and they had the room ready already and let me check-in early without any issues. Everything was clean, staff were pleasant, and overall I slept very well and had no problems whatsoever :) would definitely recommend!!
