This hotel was adequate and sufficiently clean. It was not nicely appointed. its furnishings spartan but functioning. In my opinion, it's a confusion to associate this level of motel with the Hilton name. It was strictly adequate for a night's sleep. On a brighter note, I appreciated the availability of EV chargers. These are hard to find still, in this part of the country.

The motel is misnamed. More appropriate than Tru, would be Spartan. Bathroom had bath towels and wash clothes. No hand towels. Bathroom door handle came off the first time I turned it. Was able to slip it back on. No closet, just a few pegs for your clothing. No microwave. It did have a refrigerator. No real seating area or shelf space if you wanted to work. More motel 6 than Hilton in amenities, although not in price. My opinion.

I had 3 adults staying 3 nights at Tru By Hilton Meridian mid April. This must be a hotel for the GenZ young crowd who don't care about room amenities. We arrived, only had two sets of towels, no coffee maker or sink, the phone didn't work, only one small trash can in bathroom, no Welcome guide. Room only had a long thin rail shelf which was hard to place anything large on. The TV was pathetic, taking forever to respond to remote and only infomercials on news channels in morning. Have to go downstairs for coffee and bring it back to room. I asked the front desk for extra towels and to empty the trash can. I came back later to room, had one set of towels, but no one ever emptied the trash can all the time there. Just the worst room I've had and I was embarrassed for getting it.

The room had a very strong smell of smoke. The floor was not swept. The sheets were torn. The show glass had soap scum all over it. The water from shower was not hot at all. The rooms was not clean at all. I could not switch to another room because the hotel was booked. So basically I had to stay in a smoke smelling room that was halfway clean. The staff was nice and caring about but couldn’t offer another room due to being full.

accessible room on third floor - when entering room it appeared someone had been in the room - bathroom was not properly setup for new guest - linens had not been replenished and toilet paper was rolled out onto floor. The auto shade was inoperable and bed appeared someone had been resting against pillows. We moved to second floor where again shade was inoperable and pulled down to fullest extent. The room is stripped of any welcoming feel … Hilton should rethink this modernist simplistic style - very cold feeling.

The front desk staff is fantastic. The hotel has the trim level of a college dorm. Rooms are just a room. Very small. Tile floors. Noisy. Pillows are terrible. It got the job done, but I doubt I would pick this hotel brand again.

This hotel is one of our favorite places to stay on our way to Orange Beach, Alabama. Room is always very clean, front desk workers are awesome and very friendly. Patio with fireplace is nice. Breakfast is always wonderful and lots of choices.

Over all it is a good hotel
Over all the hotel was good. Just a couple of things annoyed us - the sheets did not fit the bed, corners kept slipping off, and the toilet seat was lose .

Only negative comment is that they were only three pillows for two adults in a king size bed.. we asked for an extra one and we're told there were no more it just seems odd that you make a couple fight over the THIRD pillow, rather than providing the USUAL two pillows per person 😉

We had to switch rooms because none of the lights worked in our room, then in the new room the sheets were dirty, 4 people in one room but only gave us 2 towels (2 queen bed) and when we were going down to the lobby to check out someone had threw up (or something worse) in the elevator and no one bothered to clean it up they just put a wet floor sign next to it. After all that we chose to skip breakfast. We had never stay at a Tru hotel before and the atmosphere seemed nice but this location kinda ruied any furture stay at a Tru for us.

The stay here was pleasant however the only thing I had a problem with was the noise. It seems as though the hotel wasn't built with sound proof material. You can hear people in the hallway clearly from your room, I was on the third floor and all night I could hear the people above me walking around. Didn't get much sleep because of that.
