"I visit Medellín every four months, and after a great stay at Tequendama in December, I decided to return for a full week. Unfortunately, this visit was nothing like my previous experience.
The bar was closed for my entire stay, and no one mentioned this at check‑in. Yet the front desk still handed out “complimentary drinks” for a bar that wasn’t even operating. When I tried to redeem them at another bar, staff refused to honor them. The whole situation felt like a mockery, not a genuine gesture of hospitality.
Basic room service was also disappointing. We had to call twice just to request toilet paper, and hand soap wasn’t provided until the third night.
There was also a tournament happening at the hotel, and the winning team partied loudly with no regard for other guests. The noise went late into the night, making it difficult to rest.
After this stay, I won’t be returning to Tequendama on my next trip to Medellín this fall."
