"While the views from our room were spectacular, the ceiling height was lacking. Beams everywhere criss-crossed the room presenting great challenges in navigating the room (particularly at night). As arragont as it sounds, most people spoke a little English, but these hosts didn’t know more than 2 words and seemed annoyed by everything. We tried to avoid interacting with them. Our room was also 3 stories up narrow marble stairs. This would not be a good situation for elderly or...

"We enjoyed our short but very sweet night at Palazzo Privatera. We arrived on the heels of Cyclone Henry, so much of the town was shut down, but our host Alfio was extremely insightful and helpful. He showed us around this mideivel treasure, hosted a wonderful breakfast, and made our stay so comfortable! Wish we would have had more time to enjoy the amazing property and town, but hope to return in the future to enjoy more of Mt Etna’s beauty and vineyards!"
