"The property was on a quiet street but near a main road with restaurants, a Tesco and a Boots nearby. Our room was renovated with a beautiful bathroom with monogrammed towels and bedding. The doors were activated by a key code given at check-in. Staff were very helpful and we had a wonderful three night stay."

"It’s an expensive novelty, it’s comfortable and in a good location. Would have been good to have some historical information on the walls and made more of the fact that it is a very old prison."

"The bed was broken or not put together. We spent all night putting the bed back together. It was apparently two single beds. It was a nightmare as my daughter had exams needed a good nights sleep. I told them that before we arrived. There was mould on the shower . I am asthmatic!Strange staircase which did not help my mobility issues. All night people walking and partying Above and keeping us awake all night! My daughter went to the exam with 2 hours sleep and failed the exam. All of the above...

"Second time we’ve stayed here and it’s become the preferred option for visiting friends who live nearby in Oxford. It’s recently renovated, super clean and very comfortable. It’s self checkin but lots of comms from staff and a very straightforward process. Also found staff to be very responsive when messaging to arrange a late checkout. Rooms might be a bit small for a multi day stay, but for one or two nights it’s perfect. Near a bus stop with connections to city centre and train station,...

Room service was good except that some of the equipment in the room (e.g., soap dispensers and lights) should be checked regularly. Soap dispensers in our room were all faulty. Note to future guests with disabilities: There are no lift to help carry heavy luggage to the upper floors. Everything must be hauled up via the stairway. That wasn't a problem for us but perhaps to others who might ask the staff for help...
