We enjoyed our stay here but the room was not stocked with complimentary facial tissue nor shampoo, conditioner, and lotion. Every hotel and motel I've stayed in previously has offered these amenities and it was sorely missed.

The room was impeccable and very comfortable. I appreciate that the hotel is dog-friendly and that we did not encounter any aggressive dogs. There was only one drawback, yet it is a serious one: The lights along the walkways that came on at dusk were EXTREMELY bright and the curtains inside did not block out this light, such that it was impossible to discern day from night inside. It was difficult to fall asleep, in spite of being tired, and I was only able to sleep fitfully throughout the night. One of the people at the front desk said that they receive frequent complaints about this. The hotel needs to install blinds that can block out this intense light, allowing travelers to sleep well.

Aesthetically the room was nice enough and clean, but really missed the mark on the essentials - not hot water, no tub plug, no shampoo or conditioner, and no rubber seal around the door so you could hear everything outside. Worst hotel stay I’ve had and management just said they knew about he maintenance issues and would have someone solve it in the future (what about me?!)

Very friendly staff, room is nice and clean and it’s affordable.I also love that it’s midway between Monterey and Salinas and that a bus stop isn’t too far. And the fact it’s a walk to the state beach. This has officially become my go to hotel if I am unable to stay with a friend when I make a visit up here.

Clean and simple
Pretty clean and updated. No carpets! They allowed pets with no additional fees. Comfortable enough, thin blankets but the heater was well regulated and kept the space comfortable. Basic but clean and easy to sleep. Thanks!

The lady at the Motel 6 counter was rude…
The lady at the counter of Motel 6 was a rude lady and very coinciding. I had asked for a lower level room with handicap parking in front of my room. She didn’t. I had to walk up stairs which caused pain in my legs. The room floor was dirty.

Water pressure was pretty bad but other than that the room was fine. The biggest issue was two rooms down the guests were very loud, slamming doors, yelling and playing music loud enough that it felt like it was in my room. It didn't stop for a couple hours and finally the Night Manager banged on their door and got it stopped after midnight I believe.

The tub in the bathroom was peeling, the drywall had a hole in it, the ice machine wasn’t available 24/7, the available laundry was very small and compact. We checked out early due to reasons above and someone from the front desk calling about some complaints made about our room that was not our room. The people around the area are very RUDE. And very noisy.
