A cheaper overnight stay in a good central location of Madrid.
This facility is a very basic/ bare minimum place to sleep. you need to pay for towels 5 euro. And there may or may not be toilet paper available. The place is not cozy, but does have a hard working cleaning team. Reception may or may not be available when needed. Found the location to be fantastic, located in trendy area and lots of bars restaurants etc. hostel is overpriced for what you get.
The Host was in constant communication with me to ensure i arrived at the right location, gave advice on things to help me settle in fast and enjoy my experience in madrid.
I was greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave me all the information I required. The room was clean, warm and secure. I found that I needed to wear earplugs to avoid being kept awake by people using the security codes during the night. With ear plugs it was no problem. I stayed two nights comfortably for a very reasonable fee. Ten minutes walk to Museo Reina Sofia and a further twenty minutes to Museo Prado.
If you want to stay cheap, it’s perfect but very noisy area night bathrooms are separate to rooms and toilet. Very noisy people used them all night, the reception man and the cleaner lady very good, looked after everything for us had to change room, as had leak in the night from the roof and the cleaning lady sorted out everything and changed our room straightaway with no complaints, very apologetic.
THIS IS MY FIRST TIME AT A HOSTEL. I had a lovely 10 nights. The room is decent and for the price you can’t beat it. Make sure to ask in advance for a room with a balcony, they are for the most part first come first serve. Thank you to the host for letting me relax in the lobby area while I waited for my room. Overall it’s clean, no thin walls, and in a great area that’s close to downtown. The only downside is the noise outside. If you can sleep with a busy night life outside then you’ll be just fine. Thank you again!

Barebones hostel, having a private room is really nice if you don’t want to share a room with 11 strangers. However, our check-in experience was a nightmare, as a neighbor had to contact the property owner to let me in as I was not given the code after checking in online. Furthermore the room’s floor tiles were not properly cemented to the ground. All of this being said, the neighborhood was great and not tourists-y and the front desk worker when she was there was very helpful and spoke great English.
this is simply a place that is a last resort option. The area is awful the heat was awful and i am pretty sure there were bed bugs. It should be cheaper for what it is really. Do not stay here alone if you are a woman, not worth it, spend the extra 20 bucks and stay somewhere better.

The first day I arrived there was a big, crazed man theatening me in the nearby plaza. The police were there regularly so conditions improved.
Misleading listing - did not say "Double Room" also has a shared bathroom - the same as "Double Room with Shared Bathroom" listing. Having two listings of different names and prices with the same room type and shared bathrooms is super misleading.

The room was tiny. More like a closet. Not even a trash can. One tub for about 20 rooms. Room smelled terrible from cigarette smoke.
for 3 consecutive nights the lock on the room's door with code did not work, despite promises it would be repaired. We had to call a nr and after quite some attempts the door was unlocked from distance
The Hostel doesn't really have any signage, so locating it can be tricky. The Area to the left (as you face the entrance) is quite sketchy, drug taking, gang-like behaviour (we even witnessed a fight).
So take care when leaving the building.
I was in Room 316 - A previous review stated the tiled floor was broken back in May, it's still not fixed as of June 14/17.
Rooms are ok, very little means of keeping cool (no fan or A/C. One of the Toilets was out of order and vending machine in the communal area was seemingly broken.
Walls are quite thin so you can hear most of what's going on in other rooms.
I chose this as a cheap and cheerful option for a short break in Madrid and I wouldn't recommend anyone book this unless they were really desperate.
It's tired, there's nobody on site most of the time and at night it's quite sketchy if you're on your own.
