"A classic property in the old style of the lower keys from the 70s. Even though rooms are a bit dated, they are very clean with a great floating dock to moor your boat. Nice marina right next door with a good ramp. If your game is to fish the back country this is your place."

"Absolutely horrible stay. It took over an hour to get the key code. The place looks like an unfinished Boy Scout project. Everything is old and dirty and rusty . Cigarette butts on the beach. Everything is rundown and damaged. I don’t believe that there was even a credible architect building this place. I felt like I was in a horror movie. Last but not least We found out that the place is for sale…..No wonder !"

The Host was not available at any time, it plain as day states to contact host for gate code and I notified 24hrs before, I called at 1pm the next day, no response, I called at 3pm and texted that i would arrive at house by 5pm like check in states with no response, I stopped for lunch and my new arrival was at 6pm, which is the time I arrived at the house, I called several times to host for gate code, and no success again, It was frustrating I...

There’s no cleaning products and nothing was cleaned during our four days day. Otherwise it was great. "We wanted to check out the sea turtle hospital and decided to stay the night. We were able to check into our room and take a less than 5 minute walk over to the hospital for our tour! The grounds are well kept. We enjoyed the pool/hot tub, swimming lagoon and had a beautiful view of the bay from our balcony room. We will be coming back!"

"Blue Flamingo was a wonderful hotel and I will go back. The pools were lovely, but it would have been nice if one pool was designated to children and the other for adults. The room was lovely as well. Our only problem was with housekeeping. Upon cleaning our room, they took all the dirty towels but never replaced them with clean ones, nor did they replace the toilet paper or tissue - we had to make several calls to front desk and the front desk with quick with those items. "The parking area is huge compared to the number of rooms for rent. Only met the property manager on check-in. Very nice. Has lived in the Keys for over 40 years. The window A/C was very strong and lound for the small space. The room was small but included 2 very nice bed end tables, TV, Refrigerator, but no freezer, round table and chair and of course a TV. The tiled floor was a nice touch. Very clean. The buildings a spread far enough apart you don't hear much from the other renters. "
