"Room clean and tidy. Staff very polite, friendly and accommodating. My wife needed a room with reasonably easy access and the initial room allocated was difficult for her so the receptionist searched for another room more easily accessible even though the hotel was full. "

"Stayed in room 6, for price really nice room. Complimentary tea, coffee water, with shower gel and shampoo. Tv as well which was nice. Manager was incredibly nice, really helpful. Great for short stay, was slightly noisy on main street but outside hotels control."

"We stayed at The Grove in December 2025 with our toddler and had a wonderful experience. The hotel felt magical at Christmas, beautifully decorated, warm and welcoming throughout. Our room was spacious, spotless, and well set up for a family stay, which made everything feel easy and relaxed. The staff were exceptional: genuinely friendly, attentive, and especially thoughtful with our little one. Dining was excellent, with great options and flexibility for families, and the grounds were stunning...

"The room was great and cosy, the restaurants, bars and lounge areas are so comfortable and well maintained. The spa is to live for, great swimming pool, sauna and steam, the relaxation room is the best, silent scented and cosy. I’ll definitely come back!"

"Manager is very helpful and a kind person. I stayed for four nights. The price is reasonable, and the rooms are clean. Wi-Fi is very good. The room size is decent . One mile from Watford junction station. Takes fifteen minutes by walk to reach the station . I avoided uber as i preferred walking . There is also a Sainsbury supermarket within ten minutes walk. Safe location and no empty eerie roads . I am ok with the facility."
