"I arrived in the morning before check in time and was able to leave my luggage in storage. The kitchen was available and there is a nice lounge area to wait. The woman working at reception was very friendly and helpful. The shared bathrooms were fairly clean and no wait for showers in the evening. The only downside I would mention is the noise. The room doors would slam quite loudly throughout the night (when people went to use the bathroom) and I could hear people walking around on the floor...

"If you’re staying in Reykjavik prior to a cruise ( which we were) this place is perfect. Staff at desk were fantastic. Buffet breakfast excellent. Rooms don’t get made up everyday. ( we could care less). Restaurants everywhere. Shopping everywhere. Marine excursions right there. Bus stop to main terminal for land excursions just around corner. Can’t say enough about the place. From air port take the flybus to hotel area as taxi VERY expensive. "

"Hotel Fron was perfect for our stopover in Iceland. The location was lively w many eating and shopping options. We had a car and was able to park close by in a parking garage when street parking wasn’t available. The staff was very friendly and do helpful. The breakfast was very good. There was some street noise, but nothing that kept us awake or lasted for extended periods. "

"Fantastic hotel. Our room was very spacious and had wonderful old-fashioned windows that opened to the park across the street. The bathroom was also large and well equipped. The furnishings really took us back to the art deco age, including a huge painting in our room that was nothing like the typical hotel artwork.
