Excellent and outstanding location to all the cafes, restaurants, supermarket and stores. Easy to get around. Alva Apartments was a spacious room with a huge bathroom and super clean. The bed and comforter were extremely comfortable.

Would highly recommend staying at ALVA. Its location is perfect just a 4 minute walk into the heart of the city, next to a grocery store and close to three bus stop pickups(6,18,3) if you’re going on any tours. The apartment was clean and well equipped with almost anything you could need for any length of stay. My one gripe is that there was a slight smell, I’m not sure if it was the previous visitors or a neighbour cooking

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at ALVA. The location is ideal, within walking distance to grocery store, lots of restaurants and shops, and the cathedral. It was handy having the kitchenette and not having to eat out for every meal. The laundry room and dishwasher were a bonus!

It was really nice, thank you. Just please consider cleaning the lobby windows and door, it doesn’t give a good impression at first sight. Other than that, really nice location and room was very clean. Thank you

The apartment was in a convenient location to shopping and restaurants, adjacent to a grocery store. It was clean and quiet. Having a kitchen and laundry was very convenient. It was an easy walk to the sites and bus pick up areas. The hosts responded to our questions promptly, via email.

this is a centrally located apartment with close proximity to many essentials. keep in mind the property does not have microwave and if you are travelling with kids that can be challenging also not a lot of pots or pans just to cover bare minimum.

This property was an excellent location for walking just about every where we wanted to go it was close by downtown shopping a grocery store right next door. The manager was easy to get a hold of and responded very quickly. The process check in was very easy and he was very patient when we had questions. I would come here again if given the opportunity to come back to iceland.

We rented the smallest studio suite from ALVA. The building and finer finishings of the suite need some touch up, its not immaculately finished but it was clean, close to town, easy to access, and had everything we needed. Having a kitchenette was very helpful to make lunches and meals where Reykjavik is generally very expensive. Unfortunately, our suite in 308 was at the back of the building and there was a lot of loud noise early in the morning from cars and the grocery store receiving deliveries; I mean REALLY loud at around 6.30/7am every day. This was our biggest complaint with the stay overall, otherwise it was a great for the price we paid.
