"My wife and I were staying here for our sons wedding. I couldn't ask for a better weekend. The hotel was very convenient to everything. We were in walking distance to the wedding and reception hall. Also 1 block away from several breweries and places for live music. Walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The hotel had a restaurant of its own. It served breakfast and dinner. "Review based on being a male, single occupant:: clean room, updated, convenient to highway/shopping. Not fancy, but easily fits the need for a reasonably priced, clean room. However DO NOT RECOMMEND for single, or traveling together females- find another place, please."

"Unique and historic hotel. I love the antique decor and the staff/ owner were very friendly. No need to leave the hotel for meals as the hotel has a quaint restaurant, with various cuisine options and offers indoor/ outdoor dining. The chef is friendly and talented. He adds west coast flare to classic meals. The Captain Crunch french toast and patty melt were 2 favorites. He even helped jump my battery after I left my lights on! Easily, the best upcoming hotel in Deland."

"I guess this is what you get for this price but little things, like a friendly person at the check-in desk, don’t always cost the hotel extra money. There is a very strange smell in the entrance area and the fitness room is out of service. Could be worse but it could also be better. "
