"Honest Review – Great Staff, But Several Shortcomings The people who work here are genuinely great and try their hardest to make sure guests are taken care of. Unfortunately, there are limits to what they can do. The rooms need more attention when it comes to maintenance. The pool area was another issue. There are posted rules, but staff seemed hesitant to enforce them. Certain guests acted entitled and did whatever they wanted — dumping drinks in the pool, playing dodgeball while people were trying to relax, and more. One guest even hit an older lady in the face with a ball, and a worker saw it but said nothing. It felt like some guests ran wild because they knew they could complain about the staff if anyone pushed back. The biggest disappointment for me was the food. We’re in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean — not Europe or Canada — so I expected more local flavors. Instead, the options were mostly international and generally not very good. You really had to search for something decent. We ended up leaving the resort almost every day to eat authentic Dominican food, which was much better. Breakfast was okay if you stuck to the basics: scrambled eggs made to order, toast, and bacon. Everything else was hit or miss. Would I return to this hotel? Honestly I don’t think I would be back."
