This is our second time staying at this place and we just love how it’s in the center of Gion district surrounded with the best food spots. We also love how close it is to shopping, nishiki market, karaoke, all the fun stuff!! The space itself is huge and the onsen is just the cherry on top after a LOOONG day of walking/exploring. It’s < 20 mins away from Kyoto station as well.

Amazing place

An amazing experience given the apartment had a private onsen, but the multiple rooms were amazing along with a decent sized fridge free washing machine and coffee machine. Everything about the room was just amazing though next time I’ll bring friends to share all the space with seeing as it holds up to 8 people it would be the perfect headquarters for a longer trip

All was great. Clean, well-maintained, and easy to access. Great location, with Nishiki Market, countless restaurants, and grocery nearby. The only minor complaint I have is the slowness of filling the hot tub on the first day. On subsequent days it got better, however. The staff was very responsive through email.

Super spacious and beautiful onsen

The space had great AC. And wonderfully Heated floors. The tatami mats were nice. Very spacious and comfortable. The onsen provided a great hot bath experience with much needed relaxation after the long hikes to the shrines. The location is very central and easy to get around and can comfortably sleep 8. Good for 2 families in separate ends of a long room. The kitchen wasn’t quite a kitchen without a table Or sink but a nice big counter top and coffee maker. We were out all the time anyways as there really Isn’t a need to cook.

Our stay at this property was extremely disappointing due to poor management and lack of communication. Just before our trip, the host sent us a last-minute link to pay taxes, but the link didn’t work. Because of this, they refused to give us the sign-in code, and we were unable to enter the property for four hours after check-in. We were left standing outside in the cold and rain, trying to resolve the issue with Expedia since the host was unhelpful and unresponsive. The listing is also misleading. The “kitchen” is not a real kitchen—it’s just a countertop with no sink, so there’s nowhere to wash dishes. Dirty dishes simply pile up. They provided a coffee machine but only with decaf pods, and when we asked for regular coffee, they said they don’t provide any. Additionally, when we asked for nearby luggage storage, they sent us to a location 30 minutes away, even though we later found one only a five-minute walk from the property. While the location itself was great, the management was unhelpful and dismissive throughout our stay. Being locked out for hours and left to figure everything out on our own made the experience extremely frustrating. I would not stay here again and would caution others to be aware of these issues before booking.

日本の歴史と情緒とほっこりを感じる宿

京都祇園の中心にとびきり大きな部屋（100㎡）に祇園のお宿最大級の大きい檜風呂！の宿が出来たと聞き、早速中年男3人で同窓会を兼ねて宿泊した。感想はとにかくお洒落(今どきの和風デザイン)でデカい！そして大人4〜5人がゆっくり入れる檜風呂！…全てが大きくゆとりがあるせいなのかな？心身ともにホッコリして会話も弾み…本当に来てよかったと思った。次回また京都で集まる時は再度必ず泊まりたい宿である。 ご家族やカップル、海外からお越しの方もぜひ泊まってみるべきでは？と思った！ ちなみに…宿の一階は京都屈指の日本料理店「割烹舞扇」があり、味、盛り付け、雰囲気…ともに最高！で、宿とセットで今回は本当に京都の情緒を思い切り満喫した最高の同窓会だった！

예약하기 전 기대하던 모든 것들이 만족스러웠습니다 1.완벽한 위치 교토의 심장, 기온에서도 한 복판. 2.전통가옥을 현대식으로 개조하며 놓지 않은 품위와 시설 히노끼탕, 다다미거실, 에스프레소머신과 와인글라스, 전통 차 다기들과 편안한 소파 3.교토라는 것이 느껴지는 친절한 안내 첫 인상부터 특별함을 알 수 있었던 체크인라운지와 스탭들의 훌륭한 영어실력 감사합니다. 다른 마치야들도 궁금하니 다시 찾아오려고 합니다.
