This is a small owner run boutique hotel with a nice little bistro attached. Rooms spacious, comfortable and clean. Enjoyed the location, with short walk to night market and restaurants on the Main Street through old Chiang Mai.

TL; DR: I HIGHLY recommend this property. Location: Perfect, steps away from the beach, and a walking street. While the hotel is in a high-traffic walking area, I found the venue quiet and peaceful. Staff: Accommodating and kind. Especially a woman named Hong (front desk staff). I had an issue with the safe box (the previous guest left it locked), and she came right away to fix it. They allowed me to leave my door key at the front desk whenever I went out. Room: Beautifully decorated and clean. I enjoyed the layout and the balcony. The bed was so comfortable.I found the room quiet; however, you could hear some noise only if loud guests were outside in the hallway. Bathroom: There is a separate room for the toilet and shower. Both were clean with hot water! Pool: Wonderful. The perimeter around the pool had lounging chairs and a few hammocks. Food: Two food spaces are adjacent, facing the beach. Breakfast: Impressive. There were both Thai and Western options. They had an omelet and pancake station. There were also baked goods, bread to toast, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Seperate Restauraunt: I think this is a separate business from the hotel. It offers various fruit shakes, coffee, and healthy food options. It's a bit pricey and is quite busy. Some people walk in off the street before they leave on a boat to head out to the islands. I stayed two nights and tried to extend my stay because I liked it so much!

Great hotel in awful Ao Nang beach !!
Clean accommodation beds comfortable staff very friendly, we only stayed for a matter of hours as we arrived at 10pm and left at 8.30 so didn’t get to use the pool etc but I would recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area. The area on the other hand was horrendous.. cheap, nasty commercialised, cannabis shops every few yards smell everywhere was overwhelming.. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. We were just in transit but in terms of the hotel it was excellent

Nice place to stay
Phra Nang had a great location right by the beach and with all restaurants,bars,shops, etc. right next door. Hotel was very clean, and staff was friendly and helpful.

The location is a great spot for being close to the beach but it was so loud at night. We did not sleep before 2am every night we were there which was rough. It’s a terrible spot for noise.

This hotel is in the centre of Ao Nang right on the seafront. It's a lovely traditional Thai style hotel with wide shady verandahs. All rooms overlook the swimming pool. Everything was spotlessly clean and the bed was very comfy. The buffet breakfast was varied and plentiful. The only problem was noise from the bar as the entertainment went on until after 2 a.m. making it difficult to get to sleep.

Nice and friendly hotel
Very friendly staff, lovely comfortable reception area. Nice comfortable bed and rooms. Breakfast was included and enjoyable. Great location for the beach, shops, restaurants and massages. The restaurant served very nice food in the evening and overlooks the beach. Pools were nice and quiet. WiFi was decent in the room. Good value for the area. No issues with noise whilst in our room.

View is amazing, close to everything but there is a bar downstairs that plays live music till LATE in the night so bring ear plugs if you want to sleep! :)

Pool has shade and sun. Horseshoe configuration towards the pool for poolside rooms. Downstairs by pool has a table, chair, and lounge couch while upstairs has two papisan chairs on porch. Good breakfast. Right at beach and night cafe bar has great live music. Toue boats are right at beach so a little more noise but great when want to explore the islands.

The music at the beach bar underneath the accommodation was way too loud for us we were in room 1237 everthing in our room was vibrating. Also the night club across the road boogie bar was extremely loud. It and the noisy traffic at 1am was extremely annoying

Great place to stay
Considering its proximity to the beach and businesses this is probably one of the best locations in town. The room was interesting Lee and comfortably laid out with the balcony open to the street and the beach. Breakfast was quite good well laid out and completely sufficient. I could easily recommend this one again.

Great location
Best thing about this hotel is the location, right on the beach and central to restaurants bars and boats to other beaches. Staff are lovely, bed was comfortable and although very central was not noisy at night. Bathroom could do with a makeover and the internet is extremely poor in the rooms although OK if you sit near reception. Overall good value for money for this hotel in great location in Ao Nang.

Very good centralised location. Room and environment is very dated. However it is very clean. Staff are very helpful and accorded us with good service. The breakfast is adequate but nothing to write about.

Good and bad points
We booked Phranang Inn for its amazing location. It was right near Ao Nang Beach and located at the junction of 2 very popular and 'happening' streets. Lots of halal restaurants which caters our needs with amazing (though pricey) food. There's also plenty of souvenir and tour shops and massage parlors to keep us occupied. Rich from reception was great and welcoming. Sam, the manager was also very friendly and helpful. She helped us when I was getting concerned the tour we booked had not arrived on time to pick us up. The staff are certainly are the best things about the hotel. Breakfast was OK, not much of a spread. I was disappointed the sausages were not halal as I thought the hotel serve halal food as Krabi has a high Muslim population, but this was our fault for not researching properly. The relatively poor score is mostly related to the room condition. The advertised photos made the room looked modern and amazing but I was sorely disappointed on arrival. The rooms are dark, with very dated decor and worn fittings and finishing. I'm sure for some people it adds to the charm, but for me it reminded me of my grandparents old 'kampung' house with wooden musty furniture and doors. The corridors to the room are also dated, sadly I feel this hardly justifies the price charged. I overheard another guest complaining about the hot water. The hot water does seem to vary in pressure and quite tricky to get the hang of, but I managed it OK and find it suffice. Wifi is good..

Great location, pricey but adequate hotel
Excellent location, but the place is a bit worn down. Worked well for our family. Desk staff does not speak English very well, causing some communication challenges. Did not care for the check out as the staff was going through our two rooms for several minutes trying to account for missing things like a cheap drinking glass, etc. While everything was eventually accounted for, for the amount of money we paid for this place you would think they wouldn’t be so cheap about stuff. The free breakfast was awesome, without a doubt the best part of our stay. The free breakfast was awesome, without a doubt the best part of our stay The New Year’s Eve celebration dinner was way overpriced and I would not recommend it.

Great place to be for vacation in Krabi
Phra Nang Inn is very well located near to ao nang beach where one has great accessibility to boat trips, great food as well as spas besides shopping. It is nostalgic, clean, great service, nice hotel owners (husband and wife), good selection of breakfast buffet, surrounded by nice pools within the hotel .. very tranquil, one could just lay by the pool or outside the room overlooking the pool and writing this review.

However the staff were embarrassed and did their best to sort things out for us so we got a credit for the Hot Springs sister hotel inland which we hope is better.
