"Overall the hotel was ok. The bed was hard and a four poster, which wasn’t very tall, so I had quite a few head bumps. We stayed during the cold snap and the room didn’t have great heating, however reception did provide an additional electric radiator which worked perfectly. Overall staff were great, parking was easy, it is dog friendly but not all rooms are from what I could gather so you should check in advance if it’s ok. Bar food and drinks were nice but disappointing that on Expedia (who we booked through) it said pets stay free but on arrival charges were applied for the dog which is why I’ve given a lower rating. Did mention to the member of staff who checked us in but nothing was done about this and Expedia still shows as pets stay free "

"Breakfast was excellent with a wide variety of diffent options. A bit disappointed that there werent soft drinks available on tap only in bottles or cans and they were a bit pricey at £2.75 for a small 200ml bottle of Pepsi. Limited choice of menu for evening meal and again a bit pricey but very nice. The rooms were excellent, comfortable and easily accessible. The staff were fabulous and very polite and friendly!"

"Really good deal for the 3 of us for hotel with the night including dinner and breakfast. Staff were really good so was spa facilities for what you paid for. Overall would go again. But disappointed with dinner wasn’t told it was a buffet till we got to the restaurant ( we did prebook calling few days before and saw staff at check in where there was opportunity to tell us) Though the staff where excellent at accommodating the group member who had a food allergy and letting her choose of menu....

"Lovely host, very helpful & pleasant, parking directly outside our room which was a good size & very clean. Lovely surroundings with horses in the stables to say hello to. Great directions for walking to our concert at bp pulse about 15 mins away. The breakfast was very nice & served very quickly. Would definitely stay again & highly recommend."

"Unfortunately the room wasnt clean properly even the shower had water on the floor breakfast only had few options and the parking fee was higher than even a regular holiday inn. The chair in the room had stains on it sofa innthe room had marks as welk and the bed lining was also coming off from everywhere. The only good thing was the staff at the reception other than that sorry had a veey bad experience "
