"We had a lovely stay and were made to feel extremely welcome. The room was very clean, modern and comfortable. Walking distance from town and close to multi-storey carpark, which was useful. There was a great selection for breakfast and it was possible to choose what you wanted for a cooked breakfast. Fantastic, quirky stay with mugshots of criminals lining the walls and prison doors into rooms. Would definitely stay again"

"It was a great stay at Queens Road, the host was welcoming and very knowledgeable to assist with the area. The room was clean, tidy and had a lot of amenities. If you want a check in with minimal contact this is a great way to do it. The venue is also great if visiting people at the hospital and the university. It is so close by. "If you are looking for an elegant, historic, clean yet simple stay then this is the hotel for you in Winchester. The old building is beautiful inside and out. The staff are very friendly and also very helpful. This was the first time we were travelling with our 4 month old baby and the staff were very accommodating (all staff were but the name Lynn is the one I remember) and helped us store our pram safely without havingto carry it up the stairs several times per day. "The hotel, pub was absolutely perfect. The staff were excellent especially Tarik excuse me if not spelt correctly. All staff were extremely attentive. Room was so cozy, a little in the warm side but we didn’t see the thermostat as slightly hidden. We ate at the pub on Friday, food, drinks all excellent. Breakfast was fresh and hot. "Breakfast needs more choice especially the fruit, the pears were hard as rock, no bananas, no fruit salad. No beans for ages, they need to keep an eye on the hotplates. Invest in a coffee machine so there's a variety. Maybe also a bell at the downstairs bar. "
