"Lovely warm room with comfy bed and immaculately clean linen. Tea, coffee and chocolate available together with biscuits. Bathroom spotless with minuature shower gels etc. Loads of breakfast choices with the cooked items cooked to perfection. Hosts very friendly. A five star experience."

"Fabulous stay for our son’s graduation. We had three rooms ours (no5) definitely the best. Great value for money with breakfast included. We ate in the restaurant too and the food was definitely, breakfast included the morning was tasty too. Staff friendly, helpful and attentive."

"Worst hotel I have ever stayed! Reception closes at 10pm, so you have to call to get access. Room stinks to cigarette, flies inside the room, bathroom door was not closing and it smells pretty bad to humidity. Beds not comfortable. Don’t make the same mistake!!! Look somewhere else."

"Nice rooms over the pub. No AC so hot in late June. Some noise from the pub garden area but fine after 11 pm. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Nice outdoor eating/drinking area."

"Very disappointed with room. Paid £80 when was only worth a maximum of £20. Fire safety poster in bedroom unreadable! Very dated, dark & dingy decoration In desperate need of work Located on a busy main road, so noisy traffic. Carpet unclean Bathroom in need of updating 2 cups in room but no glasses. I asked a member of staff for a glass but was told they don’t supply glasses?? Definitely not recommended at this price!!!!"

"Bed and bedding comfy with 2 choices of pillows. Good hot water and pressure. Only draw back was the reverse cycle was not controllable due to not having a down button. Temp stays on 25 or you could put it up not down. Had a standing fan fan which we had on all night and heating off. Too cold for windows open. "

A few things to note - the reception is located in a different area of the campus to the accommodation. For the reception you want to navigate to the South entrance on Landcroft Lane and then take the first left. "Really nicely appointed hotel and very comfortable. There is plenty of parking You are offered a good choice for breakfast and it is very reasonable. Downside, it does not do evening meals so you have to make alternative arrangements. Fortunately there are quite a few pubs and restaurants within walking distance. Great that you can take your dog but they are not allowed in the large breakfast room and you are seated in the lounge on a sofa with a coffee table. Bizarrely the reason given is...

"The property cancelled the booking on the day in the evening. I was told I would get another booking at not extra cost. This did not happen. Awful experience this time through Expedia with OYO. Disrupted my day at work trying to sort out the booking and speak to numerous people on the phone for a long time. Frustrating to waste so much of my time on a Saturday at work - to no avail and no room at the end of all that..!"
