Bad experience at the Fairfield

Staff- car alarm started going off at 9-pm continued past 4am. Complained to night staff 5 different times he stated he would take care of it- did nothing. At 3am I finally got him to move us to the other side of the hotel. He then stated he would not charge us for the room. Next day at checkout. Assistant general manager stated she would not because he did not tell me that. Lie #1. Then it was she was not the owner only he could do that. Lie #2 . Then it was lie after lie. Finaly after 1 hr. of arguing with us she agreed. Do not stay here Staff is horrible!

The staff was great. However, upon entering my room and checking the bed the comforter looked like it was 20 years old. There were holes in it. I requested a different comforter There were housekeeping, and they appeased me with a new comforter. Also, the curtains were torn.

When I got there they said there was no pets allowed. But there's two Fairfield inns. One is South, one is North and the South one is not the one I booked at. The north one is the one I booked at. The South one accepts pets. The north one does not. They canceled my reservation. Needless to say I will never stay there ever!!

This hotel was a nice stay about an hour from downtown Chicago. It was in a decent area in Joliet, right off I-55. My fiancée and I stayed here while visiting the Indiana Dunes. The room was pretty good and the beds were comfortable and clean. The breakfast had a really good selection and variety of items. The only downside to the breakfast was a carton of sour/spoiled chocolate milk that I had but that was the only negative thing I had with the breakfast. The hotel no longer has a hot tub so the photos are outdated. The pool did seem a bit cold while we were there and we didn’t stay in it for long. It’s not the fanciest hotel but it does great for a quick, weekend stay!

Reception was somewhat indifferent. Shower had black mold in a corner and the shower curtain had mold on it. The shower fixtures were difficult to operate. Room was a good size. Pillows were surprisingly comfortable.

Honestly if I had only had to interact with night crew this rating would have been fine. Alas we did not. The maid deactivated our cards at 9 am to clean the rooms. When we took them to the front desk we were informed it was "probably because we had our phones near them"... yep she said that about every key for both rooms. Had no answer when we said "what about the ones in back pockets or on the dresser" No apology was given. She would not admit they did it. Honestly she needs retrained because I will actively avoid staying at this location if that ia the attitude I get.

We liked the woman who was making and serving breakfast! Did not like that ice machine was out og order for the duration of our stay, and staff did nothing to solve it. Had to go to gas station near there for ice where I was approached by someone looking for gas money
