Great friendly staff, but new mattresses required.
One swimming pool was out of service without any prior notication, however it was not until my final night I realised I was bitten by bedbugs. The dirt under the mattress was horrendous, which I only checked before I left the hotel.

Some minor issues regarding room service payments and house keeping not collecting food plates from corridors for more than 24hours.....very smelly corridor of food rotting. But a fantastic hotel, great pool and breakfast is plentyful.

There's this comment card that I found from July'20 in the room. The AC was cold, the hot water was running, which is good. I tried calling operator and the manager to ask for the wifi psswdfor 2 mins but no one picked up.

It started alright, until I found the bathtub being dirty and the faucet broke off. Called the management, they immediately ushered me to another room. Started the bath again, the hot water ran out after 15mins. Aside from the bathtub incidents, the cleanliness, comfort was good. Room was cold, just as I like. the king size bed was comfy, but perhaps it could use extra pillows.

The Hotel was fine, it delivered what was needed. Good sized room & bathroom. A number of eating options and ready available taxis to get you around the city.

The aircon was poorly maintained and the room often felt warm despite the settings adjusted to 10deg. The iron was also in very poor condition with the cable wire insulation tearing apart. Staff was generally friendly and tried to be helpful. Room service food was excellent.

Worst hotel stay in my life.
The room carpet is extremely filthy. The staff service is bad. The room has a strong cigarette smell when it is supposed to be a non smoking room. The staff went to clean our room when we did not request it. Overall, it is the worst hotel stay ever.

It was a great staying in Merlynn Park Hotel once again. As it's location is great to move around Jakarta!

I would not consider this place a 5 start hotel
I wasn't expecting much even though this is considered a 5 star hotel. Check in was fast and easy, service at front desk was great. Room was nice and big. Bed was comfortable, however the carpet and couch were extremely filthy. They needed to be vacuumed, shampooed, and cleaned. There was visible debris and it looked like the room hasnt been vacuumed for awhile. the stains were pretty disgusting too. Bathroom was nice and big, toilet was always running, the shower water pressure was very low and it barely gave us any hot water. Water pressure for the sink was also pretty low. It looks nice from the outside, but i probably wouldn't stay here again.

Great staff - Excellent Value For Money
I am now a regular at this hotel. One of the best value for money hotels in the world. Very helpful staff, great sized rooms, generous breakfast. Only improvement (not necessary but would be good) is bathroom. Will stay there again. FOR SURE.

Surprisingly good value
3 day business trip so just looking for somewhere comfortable and easy to reach. The Merlynn was probably one of the best hotels in Jakarta ... about 15 years ago. It's still fairly well maintained and the room was big, surprisingly clean and quiet. I asked for a room away from the mosques as normally I'm woken by the 04:00 a.m. call to prayers, but on a high floor overlooking the front of hotel, it was pleasantly tranquil. Breakfast was not the best quality, but for overall value for money, the Merlynn Park is good.

The first morning I went to breakfast and found a large MAGGOT in the servicing dish of beef sausages. I alerted a staff member who picked it out with tongs and then disappeared, leaving the serving dish of beef sausage behind. I never ate anything from the hotel after that. I eventually discussed the situation with a manager, but there were lots of problems communicating with Hotel staff as generally their English was poor.

Great Value for money - Excellent Staff
I stayed in this hotel many times, it is great value for money, the staff are friendly and the breakfast is very good. Easy to get a taxi from it. Only limitation, although central, it is not an area where one can find shops, restaurants, etc.
