Check in counter staff was half day dreaming. Don't know what they ask? Make mistakes. Ask me to rate my stay in hotel even before I checked in. The staff cannot recognise her guest. Check out the same too, never close my pending deposits, I must remind her. Address my surname but spoke to me in Bahasa, no initiative, slow like sloth, no energy, lack of zeal to serve... Probably they blame it on their fasting. Breakfast almost empty at 0830am., never replenish food, coffee machine is half working, can only grind and prepare quarter cup of coffee.

I had a room facing the main road in front of the hotel. There is virtually no soundproofing to keep out external noise, and the constant noise of motorcycles that sound like helicopters taking off meant that it was impossible to get a good nights sleep. At 3am the noise level inside my room regularly exceeded 80 db. In addition there is an enormous amount of noise in the corridors of the hotel at the weekend when all the drunk guests leave the karaoke bars downstairs, finally, both the in room fridge and air conditioning made so much noise it was impossible to sleep without unplugging or turning them off. If you like to actually sleep at night, I would avoid this hotel. Breakfast was ok.

The staff is good . Only thing is , we booked supposed to be a week after but due to emergency, my father in law died , they don’t want to refund , hope at least there’s some consideration when it comes to this situation.

When I checkedin, front counter confirmed that my room is smoking free and singled king side bed with 1 person for breakfast. When I walked into room#1809, it turned up to be a twin size bed. I went down to front counter, explained and request to change room. Another front counter staff attended to me, showed a very low unhappy face, as though I was creating trouble, very unwilling comply. But I told her, I asked for king size bed, why gave me a double bed with 1 breakfast? Does it make sense? Eventually I was told to return to room, wait for waiter to send me a new room keys. I have been staying in this hotel everytime I traveled to Jakarta, I notice their service is getting bad to worst. If it is not close to my partner's office, I would have stayed in another hotel. The staff attitude in this hotel getting worse. The better ones have resigned from this hotel. I have stayed in this hotel for a few years, I saw the drastic change of staff. Everytime, new staff joined, their service standard drops. And you call this GRAND MECURE KEMAYORAN, what a mismatched. Disappointed.

Not my favorite hotel anymore
I have been staying in this Hotel for the past 3 trips to Jakarta, mainly for the Exhibition at JIEXPO which is located near to this hotel. However, i realised that the room that i stayed is getting dated, floor tile (yes with floor tiles) cracked and making funny noises when walking. The telephone in the toilet not working as well. I have decided to stay in other hotel diring my next visit in March 2024.

The building is nice enough and everything is very clean. Staff speaks very limited English and beyond the check in/out they are not much of a help. The don't seem to know what goes on outside of the building, so not much advice there either. All in all, a correct experience, nothing exceptional.

Basic 3-star hotel
In general, everything seems very basic and poorly maintained, would consider this a 3-star hotel rather than 5-star. The only plus point is that the hotel is one of the nearest to JI Expo for DWP. Great for guests who are only looking for a place to rest, which is walking distance from JI Expo; otherwise, lower/have no expectations for everything else. In the room, there was paint peeling off the walls, the tables were dusty. The toilet is decent, but oddly comes with WHITE translucent blinds to cover up the glass (facing the room). Gym facilities are very basic and some equipment were rusty. Did not enjoy the in-room meals either, which were expensive and didn't taste great. With regards to the airport shuttle service, we had difficulties contacting the driver/person in charge when we landed in JKT. There were no information shared prior our arrival, the hotel had mentioned that the driver will be in touch, which was not the case at all. I had to email, call, WhatsApp message the hotel. We got picked up eventually, but thought the process was inefficient. No pictures taken because there was nothing impressive to remember by

There were a few challenges. The shower handle was broken. Maintenance came and smoked in a non-smoking room. There was a window light we could not turn off. The buffet items that were empty were not all replenished. The staff was friendly.

Worst service period!
The entire experience from check in and waiting for 45 for the room key while checking in, to room service which takes a little more than an hour. They took deposit of 1.5mil IDR and again insisted every time I ordered food that deposit was not given. To ask for cutlery takes 30 minutes and 3-4 reminders. The staff is either not trained or is terrible with communication. Room cleaning was terrible.

Decent Hotel
Overall a decent hotel stay where room is big, shower room facility is great with sufficient amenities. However the room that i got 1108, there can be some noise heard at a corner of the room at times which can be disturbing when you are working. There is the only slight drawback not sure if the noise is coming from the next room or the room above mine though it was ar most not lasting for more than 30mins each time. Location wise nothing much surrounding and nearest mall is a automotive workshop mall. Spread of buffet is wide but the same daily which can be boring and the standard of quality is normal.
