"The property location, room size, bed comfort, and cleanliness was great.
The breakfast buffet was overall quite underwhelming and both days we were there, they ran out of food way before 10AM putting the staff in a very awkward position having to ration food for upset guests, more reflective of poor management and poor customer service for a hospitality company. They are better off not offering complimentary breakfast service than continue as is."
"We found a bug in one room and were moved to another. I probably wouldn't have made a big fuss--it is inevitable that this will happen when the rooms open directly to the outside, like a motel (but to a central courtyard with a koi pond and beautiful trees). However, my wife is bug phobic. That wasn't the real issue, but when we called, they offered a move. When we got to the front desk, the woman who helped us tried to upsell us another room that was $150 per night more than we were already paying (which was 340-ish per night). After going through a list of options, I finally rather emphatically told her that I wasn't looking for an upgrade, just a different room of the same kind at the same price, if one were available. The second room also had a bug.
Other than this, the property is gorgeous. There is a pool and hot tub, both were working. We only had dessert at the restaurant, and it was really good. The valet drivers were very efficient and helpful and super gracious. I thought the valet price was rather steep for LA ($55 per night), since a car is pretty much required in LA (I'm from NYC where everyone knows no one wants more cars in the city)."
"Great staff, clean, location was very convenient to me, the only thing I didn’t like was the mini fridge, it was barely cold, I did report it, I didn’t notice if they fixed, my beverages weren’t cold enough. Other than that everything went well."
