Our favorite stay in Turkey! Wonderful hospitality from Tammam! Beautiful suite, very clean and super comfortable bed. Gorgeous building which also had an elevator which was very handy. We loved it and can’t wait to come back!

Awesome Stay in Taksim

What a nice surprise of a hotel/apartment. I was a little nervous initially about the graffiti on the building, but ended up loving the place and street with all the super cool bars and restaurants that leads right Istiklal street. Tammam the Hotel Hospitality was awesome.

A good choice for a more local-feeling stay

Convenient location for experiencing a more local-feeling side to Istanbul. Close to a range of authentic cafes, restaurants and the mega-busy Istiklal Street. Just a short walk to the new port area including the Istanbul Modern. Apartment was spacious and comfortable. Balcony was too small to be really useful but handy for leaving the doors open for some fresh air. Air conditioning was really effective and easy to use. Even though there is no reception desk, staff were always responsive via WhatsApp. Daily cleaning was good to have. The area can get quite busy but the sound insulation was effective. We are pleased we booked this over a large tourist hotel. Recommend!

We stayed in a one bedroom apartment with a balcony. Although we requested a higher floor at the time of booking we were given the apartment on the first floor facing the street. Since the section of the street going uphill was practically on the same level as our windows, there was a lot of traffic noise coming from outside. In addition, there was a lot of noise from the crowds gathering outside, screaming and playing loud music on Saturday night. The neighborhood was full of graffiti. You had to climb up a rather steep hill to get to the apartment building from the public transportation at the bottom of the hill and you had to climb up the same hill even further to get to the neighborhood restaurants/coffee shops. The design of the apartment was rather nice though. The reception staff was accommodating the helpful.

brilliant location and very satisfactory accommoda

Casa di Bava was recommended to me by a colleague and i would also recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed in 2 apartments during our visit, the smallest - apartment 2 - is on the ground floor with windows to the street. perfectly fine for 2 people for a few nights. only downside for me was lack of second bedside table as bedroom is too small to fit more than 1. We extended our stay as we were having such a great time in Istanbul and moved to a larger apartment, of which there are several. Apartment 8 had much bigger bedroom, living room, balcony and kitchen is separate. had a dishwasher and larger fridge. the street is lively and interesting to watch, and the double glazed windows ensure it is quiet enough at night to sleep easily. the bed was super comfortable, the linen is excellent and all in all we had a very comfortable stay. the manager - Tamam - was lovely, super helpful and accommodating. His english is excellent and he is very responsive through whatsapp. the location is also terrific, we were spoilt for choice of places to eat - all delicious and cheap. Norre is next door practically and has beautiful food for breakfast/lunch too. we would 100% book Casa di Bava again!

A great size apartment, super clean, safe, quite and well equipped. The staff, especially the house keeping are really good and helpful. The location is great, very lively and the local restaurants are good. Just wish if they provide a drying rack , couldn't use the washing machine for this reason.
