"Very convenient location and surprisingly quiet [at least in our room], considering the proximity to the freeway and the abundance of young children present on the property. Our room was pleasant and our request for third floor room with beamed ceiling was accommodated. The sliding door on our balcony would not latch, but we felt safe enough with the chain lock engaged.

"I booked five rooms at the Avania Inn of Santa Barbara for my family for my graduation, and the experience was terrible. One of the rooms I booked showed multiple beds online three beds and I paid $540 for one night. But when I arrived, they gave me two queen beds and a sofa bed instead.

"Mystery stains on bed sheets and towels. Super cute retro decor. Small rooms. Even smaller shower. Speaking of the shower, whenever it was being used it had a strong egg smell. The person I was staying with said it could be sulfur… so there’s that. Extremely close to the beach! Short drive to Santa Barbara Bowl. Really good food options near by. Definitely check out the taco truck next to the little market store. For the price I payed ($184), I don’t think I’ll stay here again but it was overall...

"This is a really nicely updated motel turned inn. The single standard rooms are very small but they do a great job making the bathroom large enough for when you move from the living area to the bath. The furniture and accessories are all nice. We only found a couple housekeeping misses when we checked in with some hair on the white bedding and some spilled mexican food on the swivel chair but I cleaned it up right away and it was easily forgotten.
The girls at the front desk were very nice...
