We were in SB for a dinner and decided to stay over night. We’d stayed here before and it was lovely. We were able to check in early, which was nice but the room we got wasn’t clean. It looked like they’d started to clean, got distracted and walked away. The front desk moved us to a different room but the fireplace wasn’t working. The manager was very nice, came and confirmed it wasn’t working and called maintenance to fix it. The maintenance man said it was clogged and he couldn’t fix it for us in a timely manner and arranged with the manager to move us again. When we turned on the fireplace in the third room, it did work but it desperately needed to be cleaned. So much dust and lint
It’s a cute little motel near the beach but needs a massive facelift/renovation. Walls were patched and not painted, floor boards coming up, mold on the bathtub and near the ceiling, no cushions on the patio furniture, room furniture scuffed and not repaired, curtains torn.
I give two stars because management was so nice about moving us and calling maintenance. Otherwise it would be 1 star. There are so many options for motels in that area that have been renovated and brought up to date, we won’t be staying here again.
