"We requested that our room be ready upon our arrival at 12 pm. It was ready a little after 3 pm. Then, when we arrived to our room we realized there was no air conditioning. After we called down to the front desk, we were informed the entire hotel had no AC due to a power outage. We were not informed of this when we checked in. This lasted until the next morning. And, there was no hot water for the shower. We were told no refund or accommodations would be given for the inconvenience. However, the room was clean and we had a nice view.
Upon check-in, we were told the restaurants were first come first served. On the first night, only the Mexican restaurant had available, and it was not that great. We were told that if we wanted to eat at the steak restaurant to arrive at 5 pm the next day to put our name on the list for a reservation. We arrived the next day at 5 pm. No one was there, and we were asked to come back at 6 pm. I came back at 6:01 and had to fight to get a reservation for 7:45 instead of 8:45. The food was decent.
I enjoyed the pool by the bar. It was nice and warm. The second day it was a bit icky and I think. I think someone might have thrown up in it.
The beach was very nice. A perfect view of the beach with the chairs. And I enjoyed the beachside service with drinks.
I also liked the drinks in the room. We had bottles of rum, vodka, whisky, and tequila. I also liked the daily specialty drinks."
